Guitar Rental Contract

The student will be taught how to take proper care of the guitar during lessons or Guitar Class and will be expected to treat the instrument as if it were their own. They are in good condition and are to be returned in the same condition.

• I, the student, will be taking this guitar, case, and tuner home for the duration of this guitar course.

• I, the student, will take care that the guitar will only be used inside at home or in class. When the guitar is not being used it will be stored in its case and placed in an area where it will not fall or be damaged.

• When the guitar is being played I, the student, will not wear:

  • a jacket with a metal zipper or large buttons;

  • a belt with a metal or heavy buckle;

  • or a watch or metal wrist accessory,

    in order to assure that the instrument will not be scratched or damaged in any way.

• The guitar will not be placed or played by a cooling or heating unit to prevent the wood from expanding or shrinking.

• The guitar will not be placed in direct sunlight – i.e. by a window with direct sunlight – as this is also harmful to the instrument.

• The tuner will be turned off when not in use so that the battery does not run out.

• Any damages will be paid for, and in the case of the guitar being damaged beyond repair, the full value of the instrument will be paid.

It is recommended that if the student plans to continue with guitar that they purchase a guitar or start a Rent to Own plan within three sessions/12 lessons. Venmo, cash or checks are accepted.

Guitars are sold at the exact same cost that I purchased them for.

These are well made instruments, and if treated carefully they will last a long time without major damage. For small children, it is encouraged that the parent be present with the child while they play to monitor care and help with removing or placing the guitar in its case.
